Service > Words

With all the wildness around it seems to as if now is the time to slow it all down.

Putting it all into words is tough because there doesn’t seem to be an up or down or a right or wrong. Not a lot of listening and a whole lot of talking.

Sometimes kids are doing better with it than the adults.

Society is ripe for turmoil. People staying at home, real and perceived problems on the rise, tensions mounting, differing “facts” and opinions thrown out daily across multiple platforms which all just results in a lot of noise.

That noise can interfere with your own thoughts and feelings and lead you places you might not originally have wished to be. Personally I have faced my own levels of anxiety and doubt throughout this Covid period and most of it has been based on unfounded information, rumors, or hearsay.

Yes it is challenging however through this period of time, we have every ability to grow, adapt, and be a better version of who we were before the time of Covid. The world will be forever different and there is no reason that we shouldn’t or couldn’t be either.

Find a tribe, read a book, try something new, do something kind for someone else. In a time of what many perceive to be a lack of leadership, I have been reminded time and time again that the best course of action is service to others. I have been blessed to have had such individuals there to remind me along the way.

Such service can be done in a variety of ways, across a wide spectrum of ability and greatness. Acts can be great or small. Just serve.

Would love to hear ways in which you have served others!
